Intelligence Retainer — £400 to £900 / month

The registers move. You hear about it first.

A rival files, a charge lands, an application appears two doors down. Most owners find out from the street — the record had it months earlier.

A standing monthly watch, reported in one short written note.

  • £400 – £900 / month
  • A short written note, monthly
  • Urgent items flagged at once
  • Cancel any month

A rival’s fit-out is public
months before the hoarding goes up.

What you get

Your watchlist
Companies House

The filing watch

New accounts, charges, appointments and resignations at your company and every competitor on the watchlist — with what each one means, not just that it happened.

Planning portals

The planning watch

Every new application inside your catchment: competitor works, changes of use, developments that will move footfall toward you or away.

VOA & Land Registry

The property watch

Rating list changes and title transfers around your sites — the landlord who just sold, the neighbouring unit whose rateable value quietly fell.

Method

The monthly note

One or two pages, written, cited and dated. What moved, what it means, what is worth doing. Read it in five minutes with a coffee.

One short note a month —
not another dashboard.

02

How it works

Monthly, ongoing
Step 1

The watchlist

Together we name what is watched: your companies, your competitors, your catchment. Half an hour, once.

Step 2

The monthly read

I read the registers against the watchlist every month, on a fixed date you know in advance.

Step 3

The note

The written note lands the same day. If a month is quiet, the note is one line saying so — silence you can rely on is the product.

Step 4

The flag

Anything urgent — a charge against a rival, an application next door — is flagged the day I find it, not held for the note.

03

The price, straight

£400 – £900 / month

£400 a month watches one company and one catchment; £900 covers a multi-site business with a longer competitor list. No minimum term — cancel any month, and the founding rate is held for as long as you stay.

What this is not. It is not real-time surveillance — the registers themselves update on their own schedules, and the watch reads them monthly with urgent items flagged as found. And it only watches the public record: no scraped social feeds, no purchased data, nothing a competitor could not, in principle, do back.
